I mentioned in my Sexy Nomad blog that I had an Inception-like dream last weekend even before I watched this mind-boggling movie.
I dreamt about being in a car, being shot at, and seeing all those bullets in slow motion hurtling towards me. I was dodging several of them until I was finally hit and then everything was like a blur. I slowly felt life being drained out of me and then there was just nothing. I was dead. Next scene, I found myself underwater trying to breathe from a tank so I can have enough air to last me until I surface. It was pretty weird. I actually forgot all about it until Peter and I decided to watch Inception after doing some groceries and running some errands.
Anyway, what could these dreams mean? According to Dream Moods:
To dream that you are shot, represents a form of self-punishment that you may be unconsciously imposing on yourself. You may have done something that you are ashamed of or are not proud of. If you are shot and come back as a different person, then it indicates that you need to start fresh. You want to wipe the past away and literally become a new person. To be underwater in a dream may suggest that emotions are overwhelming you. Breathing underwater is also analogous to being submerged in your own emotions.
Yikes! I absolutely have no idea what these dreams are referring to in my real life. I may have to consult my Tarot. Hmmm... Does this have anything to do with me still having crushes despite the fact that I am happily married? Does this have something to do with my desire for a much better kind of life? Shucks.. Maybe... Let's see what my next dreams will tell me, if I dream of anything at all.
Dying in a dream usually has to do with going through a change in your life.
ReplyDeleteBeing shot could have to do with a sudden, possibly unexpected change.
Being in a car would have to do with the path you are taking in life, and water can represent the emotions or unconscious.

Thanks Marcia! Much appreciated. :-)
