The Blue Moon Spell

The blue moon for December will occur at around 7 p.m. of Dec. 31 universal time, previously known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). It will be visible in the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Africa.

Since the Philippines is eight hours ahead of universal time, the blue moon for the Philippines will lapse into Jan. 1 at 3:12 a.m.. Therefore, this full moon will not be considered a blue moon by Philippine standards.

But we will have two full moons for the month of January, with the first coming in on Jan. 1 and another on Jan. 30, the latter being the “blue moon.”

For February, there will be no full moon because the month will have 28 days. A full moon has a 29-day cycle.

But March will again have two full moons, the first on March 1 and the other, considered the blue moon, on March 30.

To celebrate this New Year's blue moon, I'd like to share with you a spell about magic. Magic is everywhere and I'd like 2010 to be magical for all of us. Magic is in everything and everybody and we can connect with its power wherever we may be. Whether we are at home, in a noisy club, at the supermarket, in the office, etc., we can open up the psychic realm wherever we are.

You can hold the crystal while you're casting the Spell if you like but it's not completely necessary.

Take a few deep breaths and adjust your back and spine so you feel your energy flow more evenly. Feel as sense of openness. Imagine there is a waterfall of white light showering over you and filling you with energy. Now the light is wrapping around you and becoming like a cocoon. Let the cone of white light massage you and imagine that you are changing into a beautiful butterfly ready to fly from the cocoon back into the world.

Open your arms wide and allow the light to radiate from you, back out into the air, and filling everything around you with love and energy.

By doing this spell, you are attracting more blessings, goodness and great things into your life. You are letting go of negative vibes, welcoming and ushering in positive and new ones. You are aligning yourself with the Great Mother, the Supereme Being, the One God, the Universe and everything and anything that you could possibly want will be within your reach.
