Dream Interpretation: Airplanes and Boats

Posted this on my Facebook a while ago:
Napped and woke up from a bad dream... first I couldn't find the toilet in a big plane. Turns out the big plane is a big boat which turned out to be a small boat which left me on a trip wearing only my underwear and flimsy top and made me lose my Note 3. Thank God when I woke up, I was still lying naked on my bed (i just showered before i napped), my Note was just beside me and I'm safely home. (^_^)

After  I showered this morning, I got so sleepy. Perhaps because I woke up at 5am after bessy Hanz called me and we did our morning gratitude prayer session over the phone. Then I had a big breakfast while watching an old chick flick, The Change-Up.

Soon after, I finished my chores for the day, got tired and sweaty, showered then I felt so relaxed afterwards as I was lying on my bed naked that I fell asleep. Off I went to dreamland. In my dream, I was on a  big airplane looking for the bathroom coz I "needed to go". The plane was really big, with all these cabins and luxury compartments and levels.
According to dreammoods.com, to see an airplane in your dream indicates:
  1. that you will overcome your obstacles and rise to a new level of prominence and status;
  2. you may experience a higher consciousness, new-found freedom and greater awareness;
  3. perhaps you need to gain a better perspective or wider view on something.

Feeding a Yellow Snake - Dream Interpretation

I slept with the music on which I know is bad coz it will just make me feel groggy when I wake up. But I did anyway and I dunno if that has any bearing on why I dreamt about a talking yellow snake who was already vomiting saliva so I decided to feed it. Weird isn't it? I wonder what that means.

Being Chased by a Dog - Dream Interpretation

I think I had a restful sleep. I went to bed at around 12:30 pm and woke up at past 5 in the afternoon. I was still feeling groggy so I went back to sleep again and woke up a few minutes ago, half past the hour of eight. So all in all, it was a good 8-hour sleep. However, I had this long dream of being chased by a big dog (St. Bernard to be exact) inside a mall-like place that turned into a dormitory or something. It was weird. I wanted to find out its meaning so I looked for answers and here are the things I found out:

I Dreamt of John Lloyd Cruz

This is so bizarre... It's been a really long time since I last remember dreaming of something, or someone, or if I dreamt of anything at all. Then I woke up, went about my day and it just suddenly hit me... I dreamt of John Lloyd Cruz! Where did that come from? I'm not  a fan. Although I do like his movies in the past. But I haven't watched any of the latest ones. And I definitely haven't been thinking of him. If there's any celebrity that I mentioned to my hubby in passing the last week, it was Zac Efron. Oh, I've also been thinking about Joe Jonas. And I watched Justin Bieber's Never Again movie on DVD. But not John Lloyd Cruz. Why him?

In my dream, he was a celebrity and I was a blogger, juts like in real life. For some reason, John Lloyd Cruz was at my house and we went out together as if we were friends. I was bringing a video camera with me. Then all of a sudden, he took off his shirt, happily grabbed my camera and started taking videos and photos of us while walking together out in the street. I was happy of course knowing that the people around will probably be envious of my position.

Then I woke up. I didn't remember it for a little while until I went to the kitchen and it all just came rushing back.

So what does this mean?

Death Dream

For two consecutive nights, I've been having the same unsettling dream --- that I killed someone and stashed this person's body inside a cabinet while plotting how to hide the evidence. I accidentally killed this person in my dream and it's been eating at my conscience. Have you ever had a dream like this?

Death - Dream Interpretation

Even before I watched this documentary on death by Terry Pratchett (Choosing to Die: Sir Terry Pratchett Comes to Terms with His Death), I've been dreaming about death for a couple of nights now. Two of them were very vivid and I'd like to share them with you here as I try to make sense of everything.

First Dream

I was with my husband and our friends and we were out in the street, dancing to some party music. All of a sudden, people became very frantic and we all ran to the same direction, all the way to a narrow, side street. Just before we turned to a corner, Japanese soldiers dressed like they did during World War II suddenly appeared and shot all of us. I can still remember the feeling of those bullets tearing through my gut. Everyone of us fell to the ground including my husband beside me. As I was losing consciousness, I can still hear Peter's faint voice describing to our dying friends how I was feeling, how painful it was and how I was slowly dying. I woke up out of breath. Apparently, I was really trying not to breath as well . That was so scary!

Second Dream

This one was a lot weirder than the first. I was in a bedroom that wasn't ours and I was with my husband who doesn't look like my husband at all. Then two men came pounding at our door. When they got in, both of them tried to rape me. One of the men almost succeeded until he turned into a dog, then the dog tried to rape me too! Somehow, we escaped. My "husband" was able to trap them inside the room. Then he started pouring gasoline on them while making fun of them at the same time. When he finally lit the fire for them to burn, the fire got wild and both of us were cught in the fire too. Then I woke up feeling disoriented.

What does this all mean?

Dream Interpretation - Nuclear Bomb

If you're at my age, you've probably seen that Twilight Zone episode with the nuclear bomb. I was just a kid then but of all the Twilight Zone shows, that was the one that really made an impact. In that episode, the world was about to end. A nuclear bomb was seen by millions of people soaring in the sky, about to hit its target. But there was this girl who has a vintage pocket watch that can stop time. So she did. And everything stopped. The nuclear bomb stopped mid air; all the people and all living things around the world just simply stopped except for her. She was all alone, she need not work, she can just go from one house or store or place to the next and grab and loot stuff and no one would care because everything was on PAUSE except her. That episode was sad for me. Yeah, she stopped the world from going into flames but at the price of living a life.

Too Much Water in My Mouth

I had a bizarre dream this morning. I can't remember most of the details but I know it involved a lot of water and a very wide mouth.

The water was coming out of a hose and was being poured (but not really swallowed) into my open mouth and I was doing this willingly. I didn't feel like drowning. I knew that I just had to keep pouring water into my mouth otherwise, someone's life would be at terrible risk. No wonder I woke up with a very sore back. I think I was so stressed the whole time I was dreaming.

What could this mean?

Dream Interpretation: Class Performance

It's been a while since I last recorded my dreams. It's very typical of me to just forget about them after I wake up. However, these last couple of days, my dreams have had a common theme: I was always with my old elementary classmates and we were always on the verge of performing something for the class. But this artistic performance has never materialized. Just before we were about to go on stage, I always ended up waking up.

Dream Interpretation: Being Shot and Breathing Underwater

I mentioned in my Sexy Nomad blog that I had an Inception-like dream last weekend even before I watched this mind-boggling movie.

I dreamt about being in a car, being shot at, and seeing all those bullets in slow motion hurtling towards me. I was dodging several of them until I was finally hit and then everything was like a blur. I slowly felt life being drained out of me and then there was just nothing. I was dead. Next scene, I found myself underwater trying to breathe from a tank so I can have enough air to last me until I surface. It was pretty weird. I actually forgot all about it until Peter and I decided to watch Inception after doing some groceries and running some errands.

Anyway, what could these dreams mean? According to Dream Moods:

To dream that you are shot, represents a form of self-punishment that you may be unconsciously imposing on yourself. You may have done something that you are ashamed of or are not proud of. If you are shot and come back as a different person, then it indicates that you need to start fresh. You want to wipe the past away and literally become a new person.

To be underwater in a dream may suggest that emotions are overwhelming you. Breathing underwater is also analogous to being submerged in your own emotions.

Yikes! I absolutely have no idea what these dreams are referring to in my real life. I may have to consult my Tarot. Hmmm... Does this have anything to do with me still having crushes despite the fact that I am happily married? Does this have something to do with my desire for a much better kind of life? Shucks.. Maybe... Let's see what my next dreams will tell me, if I dream of anything at all.

Dream Interpretation: Jonas Brothers

Jonas Brothers & Jason Garner Support Live Nation No Service Fee June

I woke up feeling really good that I immediately grabbed my phone hoping to plurk, tweet, and update my fb status about it. Unfortumnatelt, my phone couldn't connect with the internet so I went back to sleep hoping to dream about it again. And I did! Only this time, it was much better.

Okay, let's rewind a bit. Let's go back to my first dream.

Dream Interpretation: Basset Hound Puppy

I rarely dream these days. If I do, I dream about work coz that's all I am busy with these days. Call me a workaholic and all, but I just love how I spend my time right now. So it came as a surprise when I dreamt of a puppy. I am not really sure if it's the Basset Hound type but because of its long ears (where one got torn in my dream), it probably was a Basset Hound. We used to own one. Her name was Sam. But we couldn't take care of her anymore so we gave her up. It's not that I miss her but I really wonder what my dream means. So I consulted with dreammoods.com and this is what they have to say:

Your Dreams Are Psychic Doorways

When we wake up each morning, we usually forget the dreams we had the night before. Then in an instant, we suddenly see an image in our mind that reminds us of something, and before we know it, we remember the dream we just had, as if we were looking at a movie.

Dreams - Language and Interpretation

They say that in understanding dreams, there is really nothing psychic about it. There is a certain degree of instinctive discernment involved, together with sound logic, and a good memory of what has been dreamt.

If this is true, how come dreams have been such mysteries since the beginning of time? Even during the era of the Old Testament, psychics and prophets have been summoned by kings and queens just to find out the meanings of their dreams.
