Lunar Eclipse and Casting Spells

We here in the Philippines will have the pleasure of seeing a spectacular astronomical event when one of two total lunar eclipses start to happen in less than an hour, specifically at 1:23 am on Thursday, June 16, 2011 and will end at 7:02 am on the same day. This is a wonderful time for all wizards and witches alike to cast their spells and use the energy of this micro month event when we get to see all the moon's phases in a period of a few hours.

What is a lunar eclipse?

A lunar eclipse takes place when the moon passes across the Earth's shadow. Because it happens on a full moon, we will be able to use the energy of the full moon. And once the moon is slowly waning and coming into shadow, you can work with the energy of the new moon.

Here are some spells I've already cast before which proved to be useful. Choose which ones you need and cast them during the lunar eclipse:

How To Protect Your Home

Lunar eclipse is not a regular occurrence and when it does happen, the night becomes magical and must therefore be treated with great respect and pleasure. Wiccans must prepare their rituals in advance in order to take full advantage of this rare occasion.

As for me, I think the lunar eclipse is one of the best times to develop one's psychic abilities. As the moon is waning, I can focus on ridding myself of my blocks and banishing negativity. As the moon waxes again in its full glory, I can then focus on increasing my psychic powers.

Happy casting!
